Fametta Jackson

Owner/Founder

Fametta Jackson has been an educator in the Baltimore and DMV communities for over a quarter of a century. During her tenure, she has served as a teacher, mentor, instructional coach, curriculum writer, and school principal. Her passion to improve the lives of the youth she encounters still drives every decision she ponders and makes.


While she has transitioned through her many roles within the K - 12 school communities, Fametta has also evolved as an educator in other educational arenas. As an entrepreneur armed with a mission to educate anyone who crosses her path, she now serves communities in multiple capacities. Fametta serves by developing wealth-building knowledge and strategies as a realtor/ property manager. She serves by

further building the minds and spirits of the youth as a children's book author. As an educator and mentor, she provides professional development opportunities for teachers in the U.S. and Ghana, West Africa. She works to teach others about various cultures while facilitating fundraisers for children’s charitable organizations across the world. And finally, as the owner of H.E.R. Alabaster Firm, Fametta continuously seeks ways to celebrate her African culture through style and fashion. She offers that sense of pride and celebration through the creation of The Alabaster Boutique, a place where different items of style and fashion made authentically in Ghana, West Africa can be appreciated and purchased.

As a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, Fametta finds balance between her professional and personal lives through the strengthening of her spiritual life. She is a native of Baltimore, Maryland where she currently lives with her husband, two college-aged daughters and her dog. She is a proud graduate of The Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Coppin State University where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Her motto, “Peace is a verb, not just a noun”, continues to fuel all of her life’s endeavors.
